The latest evolution in the award-winning 8600 thermal dye printer line is the Kodak Professional 8670 PS thermal printer. You'll get faster processing than ever before, increasing productivity. And auto-emulation, meaning the 8670 PS will automatically recognize print jobs as Raster or Postscript and process them appropriately. Simplified color management provides users with an easy-to-use solution to achieve consistent high-quality color-right images. The 8670 PS also includes auto detection of memory, and offers an optional 10/100 Mb Network Interface Card, resulting in easy setup and printer installation.

Adobe Postscript 3 Language
The 8670 PS printer is the first thermal dye printer to support Adobe Postscript 3 Language. With Adobe Postscript 3, you get smooth shading, 136 embedded fonts, and enhanced Adobe Postscript Language processing. What does that mean? It means we've set the industry standard in graphic arts and publishing.

Simplified Color Management
The 8670 PS printer produces accurate, consistent color across software applications in both Raster and Adobe Postscript language modes. The secret behind the color accuracy starts with Kodak's new innovative ColorFlow ICC Color Connector application which drastically simplifies the color management process.

The color connector application allows you to make prints that match the colors produced by input devices such as scanners or monitors. You can also simulate a job as if it were printed on a commercial printing press. How? By combining industry-standard ICC transforms to create color connector files which contain color management information specific to the device you are using, such as scanner, digital camera, monitor, and output devices.

Custom CMYK combinations for every color in the Pantone matching system are also included with the 8670 PS printer.
